Cake crumbs

I felt like baking coconut cakes and I did. They were fine fresh out of the oven but when I tried to get them off the baking paper they became crumbs. It doesn`t even resemble a cake now! Haha, it`s like there`s been a cake car crash. I don`t know what I did wrong. I couldn`t take them off the baking paper right away because they were to fragile. When I did the bottom of the cake got stuck on the paper and they got ruined.

I was making dinner when I tried to take them off the paper and when it didn`t work I began eating the crumbs. I thought that because I can`t serve them I might as well eat them myself. They were tasty. I almost ate them all. I thought I would write down the recepy if anyone like to make them. I don`t know how to make them not stick.

50 gr butter

2 eggs

1,5 dl sugar

5-6 dl coconut flakes

Oven: 175 C

Melt the butter and let it cool. Whisk the eggs and sugar.

Add the butter and coconut flakes. Use a spoon and make piles of the mixture on a baking paper. I made 18 cakes.

Bake for 12 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Fast food

I write fast food and I mean food that takes little time to make. This was fast food. It`s not the healthiest food but I think you could treat yourself to it from time to time. I like bacon and french fries together and that`s what it is. It`s bacon and french fries along with peppers and tomatoes. I cook it in the oven.

In the oven tin there`s eggs mixed with milk, salt and pepper and I cook it at the bottom of the oven. The french fries are cooked in the middle of the oven.

Flexing

I like to exercise and I like to go all in. I want to be exhausted after workouts and to be sore the day after. All of you that workout know what I mean. To be sore is to make progress. I have despite this started to enjoy doing stretches which is the opposite of soreness. I think it helps when it comes to the workout itself.

Today I only did flexibility stretches for my workout. I find that it helps building my strength. When I train hard I get the soreness that makes me unable to workout the way I want to. It`s  like my body tells me that it needs to rest. I always stretch after training but only for a short while. To do a whole stretch routine is very helpful in the healing process. I have more energy when I workout the days after a thorough stretch routine.

Food

I think food should be easy to make. I love slow cooked meals but not to do them. They take a long time to make. Often when I make dinner I`m starving and to then cook for hours is not for me. I know most slow cooked meal you put in the oven and then it cooks itself so to speak. You often don`t have to touch it until it comes out of the oven. The only thing is that I`m never home long enough to do that. I would never leave the house and have food in the oven which I would have to do if I wanted something slow cooked.

The food I made today I cooked in the oven but it was fast cooking. It was more than delicious if I might say so (modest I know). It doesn`t look good in the pictures however it was. I had some bolognese sauce I had made and I put it in the corner of an oven tin with some cheese on top.

In the rest of the tin I put peppers, thinly sliced potatoes and brussel sprouts. I added some cream and salt and pepper. I put it in the middle of the oven at 200 C for 50 minutes.

I like to cook the whole dinner in one tin.

Doing

Kajsa has done this today.

She has eaten.

She has been on the sofa and kept track on mommy working out.

She has hoped she would get some of our food in the kitchen.

She has been on the sofa.

She has slept.

She has cleaned herself.

It`s hard being a dog. Lots to do and too little time to do it.

Healthy

When you exercise it`s important to feed your body with the right nutrition to make it recover well. I know that protein and carbs are good but I wonder what to actually eat. Eggs are high in protein and oatmeal is a great source of carbs but should you eat boiled eggs and oatmeal porridge to recover after you`ve exercised?

I have been drinking protein and carb shakes after training for a while and I think it works well. I have to write “think” because I`m not convinced it does. I watched a tv show where they tried this theory that shakes are good recovery nutrition and I don`t know what to think. In one of the tests they had a man working out on one leg only and then he drank some protein shake. They took a sample of his muscle tissue, after drinking the shake, in both legs and it showed that the protein actually went to the muscles in both his legs. His trained leg got most of the protein though. Another test had a group of people divided into two groups. One group drank protein shakes after exercising and the other was given a drink that wasn`t enriched. No one was told which group they belonged to. The test showed that both groups achieved the same result of their training regardless to what they drank. All right, one test showed that protein shakes get absorbed by muscles but then another says that it doesn`t make any difference if you drink them.

That`s why I don`t know what to think.

Cutest

Kajsa are getting some things for christmas like minced beef wrapped in paper. She doesn`t care about what she gets but I want to give her some christmas feeling. When we open our gifts I want her to be part of that. She is easy to satisfy when it comes to gifts. She would be happy to get a piece of paper.

I`m also thinking about getting her the pink sweater in the picture. She doesn`t need it but I`m doing it because I know she will look cute in it. I know dog clothes often ( except for some breeds that needs them ) are for the owners. Kajsa is fine with not wearing anything but when I found this sweater my heart melted. I can imagine us on our walks and her wearing that stylish pink thing.

Election

I know most of the world were interested in the american election. Last night for example we were up late to watch. I have never watched that much of a foreign election than this one. Mostly you just watch the news to be updated but this time we wanted to watch the whole thing.

It`s funny this election thing. In Sweden we have two main political parties, the social democrates and the moderates ( I don`t know if moderates is an accurate translation ). The way to the election is nothing like it is in the USA. For instance, all the dirty name calling and exposing of secrets would never happen. I remember at one Trump convent the audience shouted “Lock her up” regarding something Hillary Clinton had done. This would never happen here. I think the american election is often based on the presidential candidates more than what they stand for. In Sweden the front figures of the different parties aren`t that charismatic and the focus is on what their political view is.

I think the differences might have to do with that in Sweden the king is who represents our country in America it`s the president. If we were to choose who would be the king the election process probably would be more aggressive than it is.

Cupcakes

I think cupcakes are tasty. I don`t want them with frosting I want them without it. Even if frosting is fine I think it makes the cupcake only taste of the frosting and nothing else. I don`t like the big ones either. They are too big. These days many coffee houses only have the big ones and I don`t like them. It`s like eating a meal because they are huge.

I made a delicious chocolate cupcake yesterday that was the right size ( for me ). It was also nice and gooey on the inside.

100 gr butter
2 eggs
2,5 dl sugar
1,5 tea spoons vanilla sugar
A pinch of salt
4 tablespoons cocoa
2 dl wheat flour
0,5 tea spoon baking powder

Oven: 200 C

Melt the butter and let it cool. Whisk the eggs and sugar. Add all the other ingredients except the butter. Mix them together. Add the butter.

Put the mixture in cupcake papers ( or what it`s called ). Bake for 10 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Don`t bake them for more than 10 minutes. They look unfinished when you take them out and that`s what makes them gooey.
