Pizza

I have tried to make homemade pizza. I have tried to make different pizza’s but they haven’t tasted nice. I don’t like the ones I’ve made and I definately don’t like those you buy frozen. The frozen ones don’t even taste like pizza. They are machine made and they all both taste and look like nothing that you get in a pizza restaurant.

Today we bought pizza and it was great! Like all things I couldn’t eat it all the time but once in a while is fine. I don’t know why pizza’s from restaurants are the best. I don’t think it’s all about the oven they have it must be how the make the pizza. The sauce is the most important part and you can tell if a pizza is made with love or not depending on how the sauce is. I like “Margarita” pizza where the topping basically is sauce and cheese. The sauce has to be good in order for it to be tasty. They could just use tinned tomatoes but that wouldn’t make a good pizza.

I don’t know how pizza is normally served in other countries but in Sweden we always have kind of a coleslaw to go with it. It’s cabbage with oil and vinegar.

Beef idea

I almost never eat a whole piece of beef, I prefer it minced. I think a whole beef almost tastes like blood and that`s why I have to cook it all the way through. In a restaurant I always order my beef well done otherwise I can`t eat it. And I don`t like a big steak because it`s to meaty. What I do like is a minute steak. It`s thin and easy to cook.

Today I made minute steak and potatoes. I fried the steak until it was done and after that I put it in an oven tin. I poured cream as well in the tin in order to get a sauce. On a baking paper I put potatoes, peppers and tomatoes and I cooked the whole thing in the oven. The beef came out soft after having been first fried and then slowly cooked in cream and the sauce that “made itself”was tasty.

Almond candy

I like all sorts of candy. What I don`t like is all the sugar it contains. I sometimes feel sick when I eat too much of it. That`s why I`m excited that I`ve found a recepy for a healthier candy, almond candy. I like almonds but they don`t taste much as they are. This recepy makes them tasty and there`s not much sugar involved.

You don`t have to bake the almonds for a long time in this recepy and that means you don`t remove all the nutrients from the nut. Almonds are healthy and they are filled with protein, vitamin B and E and magnesium. I know it would be better to eat them without a sugar but sugar almonds are better than no almonds.

Ingredients:

1,5 tablespoons golden syrup

1 tablespoon sugar

A pinch of salt

100 gr sweet almonds

Oven 175 C

Mix syrup, sugar and salt in a saucepan on low heat. Don`t let the mixture boil. The heat is only suppose to help in blending the ingredients. Add the almonds and coat them in the melted sugar.

Place the almonds on a baking paper. Make sure they`re not in one big lump. Spread them evenly on the paper. Put the paper on a oven tray.  Bake for 8 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Dog flex

20161201_180430Mom I don`t need to exercise to get flexible muscles. You do stretches and all that to get your flexing on. All I do is be my flexible self. I can flex my body into a circle.

Easy baking

I made the easiest cookies today. I had bought puff pastry because I like it and I thought I would do something with it. The one you buy is tasty and I would never do it myself. The amount of time it takes is not for someone as lazy as me. You have to roll the dough and put butter in it, let it cool and then roll it again for I don`t know how many times.

I put apple sauce and cinnamon on the puff pastry. I rolled it together and brushed beaten egg on top. I also put pearl sugar on it.

I baked it for 20 minutes at 200 C in the middle of the oven.

It was tasty!

Chocolate thing

I think this protein obsession that`s all over the place at the moment is crazy. Every where there is some advice that you should eat more of it. Manufacturers know that protein is big business and they want to cash in. Now there are protein in almost all kinds of food. Most people don`t need all this protein that`s out there. Commercials makes us believe that we can`t have enough of it. There should be protein involved in all we eat.

I know I have fallen for protein drinks. After exercise I drink them. I could just make a sandwich but it`s easier to mix powder with milk. The sandwich would probably do a better job with my recovery but I`m sticking to my powder. I have found a product I do buy from time to time. I don`t eat it after exercise I eat it as a snack. Many protein products are disgusting but this is tasty. It`s a chocolate flavoured protein pudding. I eat it when I`m hungry and need something more than just a sandwich. I make it unhealthy though cause I eat it with double cream.

I think it would be great after exercise though. If you don`t like protein drinks you should try it. It has a great taste and it`s easy to eat. It even comes with a spoon.

Food

-Mom I am looking for my food bowl.

-Kajsa I haven`t seen it. Why are you looking for it.

-It said it was hungry and I thought I should tell you that.

-Your bowl can`t be hungry.

-It is and it wants you to give it food.

-So your bowl wants me to feed it. Are you certain it`s not you that are hungry.

-It`s the bowl it said so. You can give it food and I will make certain it eats it all.

Bacon

I think that bacon makes food delicious. The salty flavour gives almost all food a richer taste. Pasta goes especially well with bacon. I like vegetarian pasta sauces but bacon sauces I like even more. And to serve a bacon sauce with fresh pasta is my favourite meal. I don`t make my own pasta because I`m too lazy and also because I think the ones you can buy are tasty.

This is an oven cooked pasta dish. Like I said I`m lazy and this is easy to make. I make a sauce with vegetables and bacon. In this sauce there`s peppers, fresh tomatoes, tinned tomatoes, bacon, onions, milk and cream. I fry the fresh vegetables and bacon for a while and then I add the tinned tomatoes, milk and cream. I also add salt and pepper.

I put the fresh pasta in an oven tin and pour the sauce on top of it. I put some cheese on it and cook at 200 C in the middle of the oven until the cheese has melted.

Eating

Mom I just had a thought. How about I help you eat that food you are making. There is too much for you and I can try to eat as much as I can. I can`t eat all the food but I should be able to get some of it down. When I think about it I might be able to eat it all and you don`t have to eat any of it.
