Cutest

Kajsa are getting some things for christmas like minced beef wrapped in paper. She doesn`t care about what she gets but I want to give her some christmas feeling. When we open our gifts I want her to be part of that. She is easy to satisfy when it comes to gifts. She would be happy to get a piece of paper.

I`m also thinking about getting her the pink sweater in the picture. She doesn`t need it but I`m doing it because I know she will look cute in it. I know dog clothes often ( except for some breeds that needs them ) are for the owners. Kajsa is fine with not wearing anything but when I found this sweater my heart melted. I can imagine us on our walks and her wearing that stylish pink thing.

Dogsercise

Kajsa loves when we exercise. We run almost everyday. She is the best little running companion. She never says no and she likes it. We have been running since she was old enough to do it. I have always exercised and I have done many various sports. Running is my favourite one because you don`t have to travel to a gym. It doesn`t cost much ( it can be if you choose expensive clothes ) and you get to be outside. I love this time of year because it`s the best to run when the air is crisp and cold. I never run, or I might do short runs, in the summer because it`s too warm for Kajsa then.

I have started doing strength exercises at home after every run. I feel that my running gets much better when I do that. I like to build my strength and not just my running skills. I also like that you don`t have to be in a gym to do it. I think it`s frustrating to be in a room with others where you have to wait for the machine you want. Often I have had to skip machines because everyone else was using it.

Kajsa snores in the sofa when I do my exercises. She gets her sleep and I get my strength.

Cruelty

There’s one thing I hate and that’s animal cruelty. It gets me every time I see something about it. Humans can be down right evil and I hate it.

I have a Pinterest account and a board about dogs there. I never search or pin articles about abused dogs but once in a while something about that comes into my news feed (or what you call it) and that breakes my heart. I tell myself “don’t look” but sometimes I do and then I can’t stop thinking about it.

It doesn’t have to be dogs, I hate all animal cruelty. There are tv shows about those that rescue abused animals and the few episodes I have watched have been disgusting. I have only watched a few and I avoid looking. If I do I keep thinking about it forever.

I wonder what’s wrong with the abusers. What do they get out of hitting their animals. How fun is it to starve them.

I support a dog shelter and I know it’s not much but at least it’s something. If I had lot of money I would do more. I wish I could adopt all the dogs that need to be. No animal should be in need.

Treats

Much of the dog treats available are not good. They smell bad and has additives that shouldn’t be there. Even if dogs like smelly stuff you often wonder what they put in the treats to make them smell like that. Many doesn’t smell of what they should be made of. Liver treats are one of those that smells disgusting. I don’t like liver but it doesn’t smell like that. There was another treat that smelled so bad that I had to throw it out. They often don’t even have natural flavours.

Treats often have sugar in them and that’s hard to get. Dogs don’t care about the sweetness give them real flavours instead.

I have found a treat that is natural and I will write about that another time. In the meantime I can tell you I made my own dog treats today. I just used ingredients I know are good to dogs. I didn’t think about writing down how much I used of the ingredients and I can only give you an estimate of it.

1 egg ( I’m sure of that )

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 small piece of apple ( in small pieces and remove the peel and seeds )

2 dl oats

I mixed everything together and I tried to shape the mixture into bones. I don’t know if I succeeded. I put the “bones” in a tin and cooked them at 150 C for 20 minutes.

Kajsa loved them!

I have to say that you should only give them to your dog in moderation as they contain peanutbutter that is not exactly diet food.

Taking

– Kajsa are those my sunglasses?

– Yes they are (stating the obvious)!

Kajsa has begun stealing things. She doesn`t take sunglasses or other things like that but let`s say there`s a candy wrapper on the table then she steals it. She hasn`t done that until now and it must be a phase she`s going through. If I leave a plate of food on the table she doesn`t take anything. It seems that it must be leftovers for her to be interested. It`s great that she doesn`t take food because some foods can be like poison to dogs. I can have a bag of candy on the sofa and she ignores it. She doesn`t want to steal unchewed things.

She has never been into taking things before. She did when she was a puppy but that`s normal. When she was a puppy she chewed on drawers and she nearly destroyed the tv cable. Now she doesn`t chew on furniture just leftovers. You could think she doesn`t get food. She gets all the food she should. It must be that she wants things we have chewed on because it looks somehow.

Cutest

Kajsa is my little girl. She is a parson jack russell and she is 4 years old. She is crazy and makes me laugh all the time. She makes me forget my depression and she is my best friend. Dogs have always made me feel good. I feel calm when they are around. They don`t need much and only have few demands. I love how happy Kajsa is to just be near me. I am happy just to be near her. When I am sad she sits by me. No words are needed. She senses when I need her.

She has always been crazy. She is still a puppy in her mind. She loves to play and footballs are her favourite toy. If she could she would chase them all the time. Cause of her craziness I don`t have time to think about how I feel. I have to get up everyday to take care of her. I love doing it. We do everything together.
